General Duty of Care (17 sites)

Based on the recommendations of previous Strategic Environmental Advice relating to 36 Childcare Centres (project #487) further assessment of 17 sites was carried out. This consisted of a review of previously available information, including preliminary assessment work, historical aerial photos, and a site reconnaissance visit to identify any specific areas of environmental concern to be present at the site is documented. One check soil sample was also collected from the children’s play area at each site and assessed for a broad screen of contaminants, to provide further evidence of a safe facility.
