Atma Environmental was engaged to support our clients response to an EPA Environmental Action Notice, involving large construction and demolition waste stockpiles at an operating timber processing site. Atma inspected and sampled raw and shredded waste stockpiles, confirmed non-friable asbestos in most stockpiles, and prepared a Waste Clean-up Plan to classify the waste, manage risks and support lawful disposal.
Atma acted as waste consultant and asbestos hygienist during the removal program, providing daily para-occupational air monitoring, hygiene advice, clearance inspections and documentation to verify completion. The final report confirmed that waste removal was completed, with 303 truckloads and 3,311.03 tonnes of construction and demolition waste removed to a lawful place, supported by waste transport certificates, weighbridge records and asbestos clearance documentation.
