Atma Environmental prepared a Site Environmental Management Plan for a proposed tyre recycling operation in Sunshine West. The business proposed to receive used tyres, process them into tyre pieces and bag the material for export from an industrial-zoned factory premises.
The SEMP identified key environmental risks associated with tyre storage and processing, including fire, stormwater contamination, dust, noise and reportable priority waste management. Atma prepared a hazard and risk register, site control plan and practical control measures to support environmentally responsible operation, EPA permission compliance and ongoing management under Victoria’s General Environmental Duty.
